My name is Sasha.
I’m an artist.
Right now, I’m building my first illustration portfolio for publishers while gradually returning to a dream I’ve carried since childhood: one day illustrating books.
My journey through art has never been a straight line.
I’ve worked as a theatre production designer, painted murals, spent many years creating ceramics, taught workshops, opened my own studio, moved to another country, and rebuilt my creative life almost from scratch.
I experimented with many different forms of art, but looking back, I realize they were all leading me to the same place.
I’ve always wanted to be someone who creates worlds.
Today, all of those experiences come together here.
I work primarily with charcoal and soft drawing materials. I’m drawn to old cities, vintage details, books, handwritten letters, myths, and objects that carry a sense of history. A weathered door handle can inspire me just as much as a painting in a museum.
I believe art begins with paying attention.
Alongside my illustrations, I continue creating author-made ceramic collections inspired by mythology, imaginary creatures, and symbolic forms. For me, clay and drawing are simply two different languages for telling the same stories.
This website is a little like my studio.

I’m also keeping a journal of an artist searching for home, travelling through Europe, collecting small moments of everyday beauty, and turning them into stories. Every place leaves something behind in my sketchbook before finding its way into an illustration.
